Louisiana unfortunately has the reputation of being one of the worst ranked states in the country when in comes to education. Our literacy rates have been on a steady decline with very little improvement.

Twinimation Studios is on a mission to fix that!

Last year we introduced an activity book series with the aim assisting with early childhood learning. Kreativity Krewe, named for Twinimation Studios base in New Orleans, was created to help teach reading, writing, arithmetic, and grammar in an entertaining way. With numerous interactive activities, the book makes educational content much more appealing for young audiences.

The book's specialty is tying education into entertainment. For example, children can learn math through a sports section, as a variety of animal characters with sports jerseys teach addition, size, among other topics. That isn't all, as what would a sports section be without actual information on the games in question? The intro to each sports section gives an brief history of the game in question, while also listing some fun facts. Young future basketball and football players will be happy to see their interests as the main focus of a chapter otherwise focused on math.

The book also creatively assists in using comic strips to teach grammar, allowing children to learn new words in proper context. The book even teaches children pronunciation and even gives them a "word of the day", to utilize in their own lives.

Utilizing comics and jokes was seen as such a successful teaching method, that it become the main focus on the second book in the series; Journey Across the United States of America! As the name implies, this book is focused entirely on geography, specifically with teaching the 50 United States.

While the initial activity book was aimed at younger audiences with a wide range of topics, the sequel is catered to a all ages as it provides information on all states of the country. The plot focuses on the main characters, Chan, Tan, and Gokun going on a round trip across the U.S. with the mission to return home to Louisiana before Mardi Gras. Each page shows a different portion of the children's adventure as they learn different facts about each state. Notably, each state will note the capital city, along with the state bird and flower, while a comic strip at the bottom of each page will provide bonus information for the location in question.

Just like the first book in the series, the pages feature additional interactive questions which allow the reader to work on critical thinking skills and response writing.

Both books also function as coloring books, with the reader able to take a break and just color if they're finished with learning for the day. This allows the Kreativity Krewe series to be both a teaching instrument and source of relaxation for anyone. As our background has always focused on the arts, we wanted readers to be able to unleash their creative flair while also growing their knowledge.

We plan to launch even more Kreativity Krewe books with the goal for them to available in stores across the country! For now, they can be purchased as PDF digital versions on the Twinimation Studios website and on physical versions Amazon and Barnes and Noble!
